CESKA ZULA – CZECH GRANITE from your kitchen to the historic castle

Granite mining and stonemasonry have been on the site of our granite factory and mining area since 1908.

Our high-quality granite bearings with very good storage will continue to produce healthy and large granite blocks in the long term, even after 100 years.

Proven Czech granite types and high-quality imported granites are processed by us. Granite products with complete verifications according to EN standards supplied for private customers as well as construction and stonemason companies and pavers in the Czech Republic and abroad, by arrangement including transport.

2016 - 2019

Other modern technologies in the sawmill halls and in the cube production

2010

Extraction of the largest granite monolith raw block to date, 260 tons. Used for the production of pedestal for equestrian Svatopluk statue in Bratislava Castle

2001 - 2007

Commissioning of other machines in the sawmill halls, including grinding semi-automatic machines 12.0mx 1.25m and block saw DM 3500mm. The scale for trucks up to 60 tons.

2000

Start of construction of sawmill halls, commissioning of the first machine, wire saw Pellegrini.

1998

Extraction of the largest raw granite block 14.5 x 14.5 x 1.5m (approx. 80 tons) for the monolithic conical polished obelisk 10.5 x 1.25 x 1.25 m, production and relocation of the granite monument in Prague, Pod Emauzy the hero of World War I (original destroyed in 1938, new 1998 approx. 220 tons of granite Vapenice).

von 1993

Expansion of the stonemasonry, start of the production of paving cubes and granite mosaic. New mining methods in the extraction of raw granite blocks, significant expansion of the Vapenice I granite quarry.

1992

Foundation of the company CESKA ZULA spol. s r.o. – CZECH GRANITE Ltd.

1970 - 1972

Geological investigations, definition of a new mining area and opening of the mining in the Vapenice I granite quarry.

1930

Opening of the second mining pit and the first written evidence of stonemasonry in the area of today's DP Vapenice mining area

1908

Beginning of granite mining and stonemason processing of granite in the area of today's DP Vapenice mining area.

350,000,000 BCE and before that

Formation and shaping of the Central Bohemian Pluton, with our two granite deposits Vapenice a Vapenice I.
